In late 1959 Ivory Brothers Ltd, agricultural machinery manufacturers and importers, purchased 106-110 Jackson Street Petone from Foodstuffs Co-op Society. During 1960 head office was moved here from 15/17 Egmont Street Wellington. The Petone building had 23,500 sq.ft. of floor space on a 40,000 sq.ft. site.
